Innovation Center hosts the innovation made in Ireland
A meeting to establish future connections between Italian and Irish entrepreneurship
On the occasion of the Italian Tech Week, on September 24th, Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center organized the event titled ‘Cities of the Future – Connect with Irish Innovation,’ in the presence of the Irish Ambassador. The event served as a moment of sharing aimed at laying the groundwork for future collaborations between the Italian and Irish entrepreneurial system.
The event was attended by client companies of the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center network, institutional representatives from Turin's innovation ecosystem, and professionals from the Intesa Sanpaolo Group's internationalization structures, such as Banca dei Territori, International Institutional Affairs, and the international desk of IMI CIB (DG Bank of Ireland). For Ireland, Irish corporations, the Italian-Irish Chamber of Commerce, and representatives of local institutions, such as the Dublin City Council, also took part.


The meeting was moderated by Nicola Farronato – Tech entrepreneur in Ireland and Co-CEO of W4 Games. Following the official greetings from Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, the Irish Ambassador in Italy, and the representative of Enterprise Ireland Italy, the panel "Cities of the Future: How Turin and Dublin are Planning Their Future" took place, led by the Dublin City Council and Torino City Lab, during which collaboration prospects between the two innovation ecosystems were explored.
In the next segment, the "Smart City Industry Panel: Integrating Technology and Urban Life".the audience enjoyed contributions from Keltech Io, an Irish company (specializing in technological solutions for smart infrastructure in telecommunications), and Enerbrain, a startup from the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center portfolio, which offers high-tech solutions to reduce building energy consumption.
The productive meeting concluded with the story of the Techstars Transformative World Torino case, the first innovation ecosystem created in the Piedmontese capital thanks to the collaboration between Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, Fondazione CRT, and the Techstars accelerator. Now in its fifth year, it has created one of the most attractive ecosystems on the Italian scene.
