Over 30.000 people from 8 to 10 October at the Brixia Forum in Brescia took part in the second edition of Futura Expo, of which Intesa Sanpaolo was the main partner.

The initiative is promoted by the Brescia Chamber of Commerce and ProBrixia, who are also partners of Intesa Sanpaolo and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center in the ESG - Environment Social Governance Laboratory in Brescia, which aims to inform, train and disseminate the culture and attention to sustainability among companies, helping them on their path to sustainable growth.

The event dedicated to sustainable economy is designed to offer participants the opportunity to reflect on the potential of a 'city of the future' within which an increasingly vital interaction between the urban and natural fabric is generated.

On Monday 9 October, Intesa Sanpaolo and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center had the opportunity to illustrate their vision on the issues of economic and environmental sustainability during the meeting “Finanza e transizione sostenibile, vantaggi competitivi e opportunità di sviluppo per le imprese italiane per una crescita di lungo periodo”.

During the meeting, Massimiano Tellini, Head of Circular Economy at the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Centre, drew attention to the need "not to mistake the circular economy for the mere reintroduction of waste on the market, because the bet is much broader and requires a radical rethinking of the design of the products themselves, which must also be designed in relation to their subsequent cycles of use".

Also on Monday 9 October, the event organised by the ESG Laboratories of Bergamo and Brescia 'Technologies supporting the circular transition' took place, while on Tuesday 10 October, participants were offered an overview of the circular economy and an in-depth look at the fashion, textile & packaging sectors.

Intesa Sanpaolo hosted in its exhibition space two innovative realities that are part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center network: AnotherReality and Midori. AnotherReality allowed visitors to take an extraordinary journey to the origins of the Duomo of Milan, through a unique virtual experience created for the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano, and to enjoy other experiences created through the use of virtual reality and sensory and immersive content. Midori was present with Ned, the new energy coach that allows you to monitor the consumption of household appliances in your home, in order to raise visitors' awareness of consumption awareness and the evaluation of the energy efficiency of devices, with the aim of encouraging energy saving.
