Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center meets the Nestlé Group in Italy

The 31st floor becomes the theater of exchange and inspiration for Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and Nestlé that discuss issues of the present and the future

On September 21st, Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center received the Nestlé Group in Italy at the Intesa Sanpaolo skyscraper in Turin. The meeting was an opportunity for mutual knowledge and exchange, organized in line with the objectives of supporting the industrial ecosystem by promoting technological and social innovation.

The morning was held in collaboration with the IMI CIB division which fostered mutual understanding. During the meeting the foundations were laid for future reasoning on innovation and sustainability issues.

In addition to the President of Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center Maurizio Montagnese and the Chief Executive Officer of Italian Nestlé Marco Travaglia, among others, the Chief Financial Officer of Nestlé Massimo Ferro, the Heads of the various organizational functions of Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, the Chief Strategy Officer of Cariplo Factory Riccardo Porro, Chief Operating Officer of Cariplo Factory Marco Noseda and Head of Industry Food & Beverage and Distribution of the IMI CIB division Bruno Pacini.

A morning to discover Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center

The event opened with a dive in the spaces of the 31st floor through a visit to Innovation Experience, an installation that illustrates trends and frontier themes. Following, Maurizio Montagnese welcomed the guests by opening the cycle of interventions:

  • Presentation of the Nestlé Group in Italy and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center: Marco Travaglia showed a picture of the Nestlé Group in Italy with particular attention to the social and environmental commitment of the Group. Alessandro Balboni - Head of the Innovation Business Development structure of Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, on the other hand, illustrated the Company's activities and services.
  • Focus on the Circular Economy: Massimiano Tellini - Head of the Circular Economy structure of Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center together with Riccardo Porro and Marco Noseda of Cariplo Factory presented the Circular Economy Lab and the other green projects of the Group.
  • Focus on applied research: Luigi Ruggerone - Head of the Trend Analysis and Applied Research structure of Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center spoke about Neuroscience in the HR, Training and Marketing fields, Artificial Intelligence and collaborative robotics.
  • Luca Pagetti - Head of the Startups Financing and Growth Structure of Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, closed the speeches by presenting the innovation ecosystems supported by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center.

The morning ended with an Open Discussion and a Light Lunch, where people got to know each other, exchange points of view and create synergies.

Shared reflections on sustainable and responsible economy

Thanks to this initiative, two important innovation players such as Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and the Nestlé Group in Italy were able to meet and stimulate each other, focusing on a shared reflection on how to create a conscious, inclusive and sustainable economy, able to cope with challenges of the future.

The concepts were brought up both by the President Montagnese, who underlined how innovation is born above all from the meeting of people who come together to generate extraordinary initiatives, and by the CEO Travaglia, who highlighted how Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center is an expression of that innovation frontier that accelerates change according to criteria in line with those of Nestlé: Circular Economy, development of innovative ecosystems and promotion of a culture of innovation for a conscious, inclusive and sustainable economy.
