The report " X-Plore Silver Economy | New frontiers in robotics and new technologies" explores the Silver Economy that includes a wide range of products and services for the mature population. By 2050, the over-65s will represent 16% of the world population, with percentages reaching 25% in Europe and North America. In Italy, this age group is expected to make up between 32% and 37% of the population.

These figures underline the importance of new technologies and innovations to improve the quality of life, addressing the challenges of longer working lives, increased vulnerability and maintaining personal motivation and involvement. By 2025, 50 per cent of workers will require reskilling, making the use of advanced technologies, including immersive technologies, essential to facilitate continuous learning.
