Milan: final event of SMAU 2024 tour
Innovation Center brings three portfolio startups to the event dedicated to connecting innovation demand and supply
The SMAU tour wraps up in Milan, part of the 2024 SMAU Open Innovation Club project, which included four stops throughout the year (London, Paris, San Francisco, and Milan) organized by the Italian innovation enabler. The goal of these events was to promote and present the national innovation ecosystem internationally. The Milan event brought together over 160 startups, alongside corporations, enablers, national and regional public institutions, and media, with a variety of meetings, workshops, live shows, and events across various sectors.
At the Milan event, the Innovation Center team presented three startups from its portfolio, conducting 38 meetings with potential investors and interested companies.
The Innovation Center also participated in multiple live shows focused on innovative ecosystems and open innovation. The SMAU INNOVATION Award was presented to the collaboration between the Innovation Center and IVECO BUS for “Sustainable Mobility: Innovations and Strategies for a Greener Future.”
As the final stop concludes, the team reflects on a year of meetings and networking. During the four stops of 2024, more than 40 meetings were held with investors, accelerators, incubators, and other ecosystem players. The team expressed particular satisfaction with the interest shown by various international operators who are keen to receive regular updates on the initiatives of the Innovation Center.
In total, 12 portfolio startups were showcased during the SMAU 2024 tour through approximately 200 meetings with potential business and capital partners. All participating startups expressed satisfaction with the opportunity for international business generation, and some were able to arrange valuable meetings with interested parties.
See you in 2025 with SMAU!
