Among its main objectives Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center supports the development of the Italian innovation ecosystems on a worldwide scale, promoting the matching between supply and demand for innovation, accelerating businesses’ digital transformation and supporting long-term corporate development through Open Innovation programs.
The Innovation Network Development Office coordinating the relationship and enhancing collaborations with important international players in the fields of innovation, including tech enterprises, incubators, research centers, universities, associations, and international bodies, fosters the growth of the Italian ecosystem towards global benchmarks.
The main advantages of this approach are access to external expertise, speed and flexibility in carrying out innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
In particular, the Tech Tour is a support program for startups and companies, guiding them in international ecosystems showing rapid growth in terms of innovation (like New York, Londra, Berlino, Dubai, Hong Kong, Tel Aviv), aimed at creating new business and investment opportunities with internationalization and technological development as clear objectives. The Tech Tours intends to create synergies for commercial development, searching for potential technological partners, raising capital from Venture Capitals, Corporate Venture Capitals, Private Equity, Business Angels, and for enabling the access to soft landing programs to enter new markets.
Particularly interesting are the tech tours created around some important international event on a specific ecosystem, on a particular topic of interest or cross industry such as SMAU, StartMeUp HK, Ecomotion, giving the possibility to the Italian delegation to participate, enhancing the networking opportunities, fostering global collaborations, getting exposure to new techs, share expertise, increase matching opportunities and establish valuable connections to explore potential partnerships on a broader scale.
Greater Bay Area Roadshow in Hong Kong & Shenzhen 2023
A four-day immersive roadshow showcased the role of Intesa Sanpaolo and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center visions and missions in supporting the internationalization of Italian high-tech companies with an Open Innovation approach in a prominent ecosystem, creating synergies and forging new partnerships. During this highly successful Roadshow, from 13-18 of November, 8 Italian ScaleUps and Innovative SMEs, selected by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and its partners, explored the Asian market opportunities, met with Chinese Investors in dedicated B2B meetings, participated at the notorious International Festival StartMeUp HK, visited the Stock Exchanges of Hong Kong & Shenzhen and met with Italian diplomatic representatives and local institutions.
The Roadshow, co-organized by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and Intesa Sanpaolo Hong Kong Branch, in close collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macao, Deloitte, HK Desk and InvestHK, was dedicated to dynamic companies willing to embrace innovation to grow. The initiative, with a specific focus on new technologies in the fields of Food & Agri Tech, Smart Mobility & Smart City, Energy and Pharma-Tech, enabled the generation of new business opportunities and possible investments to strategically expand in the APAC Region.
