Iren Startup Award “Call4Circular - Circular products and materials” has been launched

The circular economy aims to put waste back into circulation, for the benefit of society and the environment, through models of reuse, maintenance, repair, reconstruction and recycling.

Italy ranks among the first for the recycling of standard material flows (paper, plastic, glass, etc.) while expectations are very high as regards the development of "new" supply chains (such as rare earths, WEEE, precious metals), as well as the valorisation of wastewater and sewage sludge and digitization, the efficiency of energy storage systems.

To be an active part of the change, the Iren Group has launched the 2022 edition of the Iren Startup Award “Call4Circular | Circular products and materials”, a circular open innovation project created in collaboration with the Circular Economy Lab – an initiative by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and Cariplo Factory.

In addition to the development of a POC with Iren, the initiative offers awards from partners and Iren awards for winners.

The call4startup is looking for new technologies in the environmental, energy, water and hydrogen fields.

The application deadline is 22th of December.
