In Turin the first Metaverse Festival in Italy
On Tuesday 11 October at the Duomo of the OGR in Turin, from 9.00 to 18.30, the leading players in the sector told everything there is to know and the opportunities of the virtual universe
Ribbon cutting of the first Metaverse Festival in Italy which was held on Tuesday October 11th, from 9.00 to 18.30, at the Duomo of the OGR - Officine Grandi Riparazioni in Turin (Corso Castelfidardo - 22), and thanks to the contribution of prestigious partners and institutional sponsorships including: European Parliament, European Commission, European Youth Year, Piedmont Region, Municipality of Turin, Italian Institute of Technology - IIT.
Organized by ANGI - National Association of Young Innovators, in collaboration with OGR Turin, the event was born from the desire to involve the big names in the tech world, startups and young opinion leaders to illustrate the new trends in the world of communication and digital business.
Augmented and Virtual Reality, Blockchain and iWeb3, crypto art, are just some of the components of the Metaverse, the virtual expansion of the real world, where 350 million people already live generating a market (virtual goods) of about 54 billion dollars each year. There is no doubt, in fact, that the metaverse is bringing benefits to companies and consumers in which, thanks to the union between physical and virtual reality, it is able to provide improved immersive experiences.
Not surprisingly, the Festival acts as an attractor of brands and investors eager to understand the potential of this new sector by placing the emphasis on young local talents who represent the future of the country.
The whole day was marked by multiple topics: art, blockchain, smart city and smart mobility, AI, robotics, startups, music, work and training, fashion industry, sport.
To open the works of the first Festival on the Italian Metaverse, in addition to the greeting from the municipality of Turin, the prestigious institutions of the city: Matteo Marnati - Regional Councilor for the Environment, Energy, Innovation, Research of the Piedmont Region; Letizia Maria Ferraris - President of CSI Piemonte; Massimo Lapucci - CEO of OGR Torino and Secretary General of the CRT Foundation.
Following, Prof. Roberto Baldassari - General Manager Lab21.01 and Director of the ANGI Scientific Committee, presented the poll "Young people and innovation in the metaverse scenario".
For Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, Luigi Ruggerone - Senior Director Trend Analisys and Applied Research and Sonia D'Arcangelo - Head of Neuroscience Lab took part in the round table presenting New Frontiers In Gaming: the new report on the gaming world, a report in 4 chapters promoted by NS Lab and by School IMT Alti Studi Lucca in collaboration with the Game Science Research Center and with the collaboration of Fabio Viola, game designer and writer.
New Frontiers in Gaming is the new collection of contributions on the theme of gaming and aims to address the theme of the future of the gaming world, analyzing its present and past and offering the necessary tools to understand the cultural revolution in progress.
