The city as a platform for talent attraction and startup growth: the event of the 2th of October

A side event of the Italian Tech Week promoted and organized by the City of Turin as part of the official i-Capital 2025 program, co-organized with Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo.

Gian Maria Gros-Pietro
– Chairman of Intesa Sanpaolo– and Chiara Foglietta – Deputy Mayor for Innovation, Ecological and Digital Transition, Mobility, and Environment of the City of Turin – opened the event.

Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo then presented the data from the “Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2025,” which highlights the progress of the Turin ecosystem and confirms the city’s excellent positioning among emerging ecosystems in Europe.
During the event, the new platform “Torino Talent Gateway” was launched — a gateway to the city’s integrated services (housing, orientation, and soft-landing services), designed to attract and support talents, startups, and innovative companies that choose Turin as their launchpad.

Two startups, Lemons in the Rooms and G2Q, shared their positive experiences within the Turin ecosystem.

Finally, a debate on the future prospects of AI, Quantum, Mobility 5.0, Space, and Climatech as key attraction sectors for the next generation of innovation in Turin concluded the day.

There was strong participation from startup founders, scale-ups, aspiring entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship support organizations, corporate partners interested in open innovation, public authorities, and innovation ecosystem players from Italy and abroad — all committed to facilitating the arrival, growth, and long-term integration of talents and innovative initiatives in Turin.
