Kick-off of the Class of 2025 of the Techstars Transformative World Torino Accelerator
The program, supported by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, introduces the 12 startups featured in the new edition

On February 24th, at the OGR in Turin, the second class of Techstars Transformative World Torino kicked off, and the sixth overall, considering all the programs held with Techstars since 2019.
The program, dedicated to technologies for a changing world, is once again supported by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, and Fondazione CRT, whose constant support has been crucial in transforming Turin into a dynamic innovation hub, as highlighted by Martin Olczyk, Managing Director of Techstars Transformative World Torino. The partners' contribution has helped the city earn the title of "European Capital of Innovation 2024/2025" awarded by the European Commission, which recognized the city for its comprehensive approach to experimentation and transformation. It is also worth noting that, thanks to initiatives like Techstars Transformative World, Turin has entered the top 100 emerging ecosystems globally and ranks among the top 40 European ecosystems for performance, as certified by the latest Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2024.

Over five years, the partners, Techstars, startups, local institutions, participating companies, and investors have built one of Europe's leading accelerators, supporting over 100 founders whose companies have raised a total of more than 120 million dollars, created over 600 new jobs, and signed 80 Proof of Concept agreements with Italian clients, along with 3 exits. The accelerator's average score in the Net Promoter Score (NPS) is 95, a testament to the established value it provides for startups.
This year, Techstars Transformative World Torino received numerous applications from around the world and selected 12 highly promising startups for the edition that began on February 24th. The innovative companies of 2025 come from Montenegro, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Portugal, and once again, six of them are from Italy: a strong testament to the growth of innovative entrepreneurship in our country. When the program was launched in 2020 with an accelerator dedicated to Smart Mobility, annual investments in Italian startups were 500 million euros. Today, they reach 1.2 billion euros, a threefold increase that underscores the extraordinary growth of Venture Capital and innovation ecosystems, as reported in the Vem 2024 report.
The program managed by Techstars has always been a hub for cutting-edge technologies in numerous sectors, from artificial intelligence and quantum computing to EdTech, Deep Tech, and HRTech. This year, the search has expanded further, welcoming startups in the fields of HealthTech, Sustainability, AgTech, Retail-Tech, E-Commerce, and Developer Tools.
On February 24th, the selected startups embarked on a challenging journey that will culminate in the demo day on May 22nd.
