On the occasion of the Landing in Torino Smart Destination event (side event of the Italian Tech Week promoted and organized by the City of Turin as part of the official i-Capital 2025 program, and co-organized with Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo) Viviana Bacigalupo, General Director of Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, tells us about the strategic role of the Innovation Center in promoting frontier innovation for the benefit of the territories and communities in which the Group operates.

Through supporting startups, from attraction to growth to skill development, the Innovation Center operates with a multistakeholder approach, which is essential for generating a truly transformative impact on the local community.

One of the most significant examples is the ecosystem project developed in Turin, which saw the entry of international players such as Techstars. This journey has contributed to Turin's recognition as the Capital of Innovation, enhancing the transformation process the city has been undergoing for some time. The Innovation Center's commitment also extends across the country, with the aim of fostering growth, competitiveness and sustainability, not only economic, but also environmental and social.
